Glassine bags offer a smooth, translucent, durable primary and secondary packaging solution ideal for the plastic to paper transition away from polybags. Because of its unique look and feel, it’s often mistaken for wax paper, parchment or even plastic, but unlike these alternatives, it is entirely made from paper and is 100% curbside recyclable. Glassine is also grease and water resistant!

Glassine bags are certified for direct food contact and can be safely sterilized for medical applications. JBM has glassine bags, glassine pouches and glassine envelopes that let you ditch the plastics, films, and foils as you work to reduce your packaging waste.

Yes, JBM Packaging can make resealable glassine bags and envelopes! We use a specialty adhesive that sticks and resticks up to four times.

Glassine bags can be heat-sealed if their openings are coated with a heat-activated adhesive. Glassine is a naturally uncoated paper and will not heat-seal on its own. JBM Packaging offers glassine bags with heat-activated adhesive and many other types of closures.
